Last summer my grandmother gave me this plant that she got from a neighbor. It was apparently growing outside and does relatively well if you just pinch off a piece of it as roots seem to grow along the vines every few inches. I haven't ever been able to get it to grow well -- it likes sun but is sensitive to cold and heat. It seems like anywhere I put it is wrong...outside the sun kills it, inside it's not getting enough (and the cat seems to think it's a gourmet meal). Any idea what it might be?

Possibly [GOOGLE]Lysimachia nummularia 'aurea'[/GOOGLE], (image search results), known as golden creeping Jenny, or even the non golden regular form. Does it have yellow flowers in summer?

If so, not normally a houseplant afaik, probably needs more sun than it gets indoors. Also doesn't like to dry out.

(PS. I am sure I have seen cats eating this plant before.)

I've never been able to get it to grow well-enough to see flowers, and it was still small when my grandma gave it to me...so not sure on that. Looking at the images of the Lysimachia nummularia ‘Aurea’, that is exactly it. Now I suppose I'd best figure out how she expected me to keep it in the pot, haha!

Thank you so much for your help!
