    Greetings Everyone,
I am new to this forum and really want to be better at taking care of my house plants. I recently purchased this plant at a Home Depot and no one there knew what it was. All the tag said was that it was a houseplant.

Description: The main trunk is still green, the leaves are 2 - 3.5 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. The leaves are thin with a leaf within a leaf vein pattern. the plant also has these little stubs on the shoots, almost like thorns but not very sharp ones.

From a distance it looks like a some kind of rubber plant, but the leaves are not thick and the vein pattern looks very different.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am scared I will kill it by not knowong how to care for it.

    Thank You In Advance,
    OD

    Cinnamomum sp., possibly C. kotoense.

Thanks Salt Cedar. It does look like the C. Kotoense but without those little bulbs at the end. Maybe they will come in when/if it blooms. I greatly appreciate your help.
