i have 4 house plants one is a lucky bamboo 2nd is aloe vera plant the 3 is some type of vine i think golden pathos ( i think) the 4th not sure of but i will be posting pic of the vine and 4th plant. my question is. Is there any way to get rid of the nats the seem to be hanging around the plants without killing the plants im not sure that were they are coming from but the started when i brought my aloe plant in from outside i transferred it into a different pot and changed the soil. Can anyone help me please if you need more info just ask i will answer what i can.
1 appears to be pothos; 2 looks like a calathea. Sounds as if you may have fungus gnats. Be sure you are not overwatering. Some folks put small (1 1/2 inch square) pieces of potato on surface of soil, leave for a few days, then remove and discard. Larvae go for this treat. Have read that adults can be nabbed throught the use of yellow sticky cards (you can get these online)---gnats are attracted to the color.
i believe thats what they are i try to only water about once a week if not a little less when the soil looks dry. should i change the soil in the plants or just do the potato thing i read online to change the soil in all the plants and wash the plants roots with soapy water and take a rag with the same and clean the leaves. Is there anything else i can do
