Identification: House Grass?

I got potted grass. You see I live in an apartment and do not have a yard or grass anymore. So for now this is my "grass". I don't know what kind it is (if it even matters) or what its needs are. The tag said "Wire Grass". I shearched and no luck. Can anyone help me out?

It's a rush. You can tell by the tufts of spikelets coming out from just below the leaf tips

 

Smallest lawn I've ever seen!

Difficult to find a lawnmower suited to the situation, though.
