Photographed in the Blackbird State Forest in southwest New Castle County, Delaware, USA. I didn't mind standing in waist-deep water to get these.

thanks for the lovely pictures! we use this species in planted aquariums and have not seen it in situ and flowering!

do you have a hot linkable image that I can cross post to the aquatic forum?

Many thanks David. It is posted here http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41909

I will ask to see if any of them guys have pictures of the plant in an aquarium, but I gather that most of the time what we actually get is H. palustris instead.

    Can I ask if you were using a Micro-Nikkor 105mm Æ’/2.8 lens? or perhaps a Leica APO-MACRO-ELMARIT-R 100mm Æ’/2.8?

The close-up was taken with a Nikon D70 and 60mm f/2.8 micro. The wide-angle view was taken with the D70 and Tokina 12-24mm. The other is from a Nikon Coolpix 5000. If I remember correctly.
