I have had a problem recently with spider mites, and fungus and mold so I sprayed my plants with horticultural oil, baking soda, dishwashing soap mixture. Some of the leaves appear to be curling up on my tomato plant. Others are fine. My baby pepper plant which is only a couple weeks old also experienced some leaf curling. Have I used too much of something in my mix? Its obviously from my spray, the curling happened within 24 hours. 70% of the leaves are fine. The brand of hort oil I used was Green Earth.

No experience with using horticultural oil but I've been told it will defoliate a plant if used in a stronger concentration than suggested on the label. Also the risk of phototoxicity increases when used in warm, sunny conditions which suggests application in early morning or early evening.

Would it being in a hydroponics system with a 105W CFL inches above it, that could be equal to too strong sunlight?

Don't know. Hopefully an expert can shed light (no pun intended) on this.
