I've grown a Horsechestnut tree from a germinated nut a squirrel buried and its grown well for the last 10 years - but its never flowered! Its now about 10 foot tall and growing very well every year.

Is there a maturing point for this tree before it will flower?

    Thanks.

Depends a bit on growing conditions - 10-15 years in full sun, 20 years or more if shaded to any extent.

Not a fruit or a nut tree, of course - people do not regularly consume the nuts.

Thanks Michael - At least there's hope for next year!

Would fertilizing the tree be helpful at all?

Only if a soil test shows it is necessary.
