Hello all! Hoping to get some thoughts about a growing problem on the back patio. 12 years ago I built a 10'x10' wooden pergola, sitting atop the patio (not bolted in). We planted a tiny honeysuckle plant just off the patio and over a decade later the vine has flourished better than we had hoped but the pergola has since rotted and deteriorated, carpenter ants/bees/insects have nearly hallowed it out. We've enjoyed it so much over the years but it has to go before it collapses and hurts someone and the honeysuckle. The honeysuckle is almost pulling in/engulfing the pergola and it's seriously leaning into it! At this point, they/re almost one in the same structure. Pics attached- How do we save the honeysuckle if we cut away/remove the pergola? Any chance to build another structure and have it work together? Thank you! Dan
