Honeysuckle Mandarin question

Discussion in 'HortForum' started by Unregistered, Mar 8, 2004.

  1. In your description on Honeysuckle Mandarin you mention that they have no scent but I found the following description in an online catalouge:
"Fill your garden with the delicious scent of Honeysuckle and attract hummingbirds and butterflies." DO they really have no scent at all?

Most honeysuckles have a perfume but not the Mandarin. In every other respect it has beautiful large orange flowers on a vigorous vine.
Two honeysuckles having scent are: L. fragrantissima or Winter Honeysuckle and L. periclymenum or Woodbine Honeysuckle.
