A relative bought this late in season (spring). The box had English labeling I think, but seems to be Netherlands import. The label was minimal. I Googled the few distinctive words from box, but found nothing. Unfortunately, I've forgotten what seemed to be CV name. At first, the root needed a lot of water, but now it seems decently water-conservative, considering it's surrounded by established shrubby stuff.

It began blooming mid/late-July, and has been done for a week (or two?). The spent flowers drop soon after flowering. I don't know if the plant needs a pollinator, needs good pollination conditions to set seed, or if it's sterile due to being offspring of a 'molestation' (stretched hybrid).

    Leaves are 5" long x 4" wide. 12.7 x 10.1 cm
Fine hairs top and bottom, but the tops are slightly fuzzier. They feel soft to the touch.

I TRIED linked thumbnails, but those tags seem to be broken

The July 30 2004 pics show leaves on upright stalk (about 5 foot (1.5m) tall), but I now notice short side stems growing on lower half.
