    Hi,

In the Spring my Holly plants develop many berries. Before the berries ripen, the majority fall off. How can I prevent this drop off?

    Thank you.

Maybe the problem is lack of cross-pollination. Hollies come in "males" and "females", where the whole plant has incomplete flowers with parts of only one gender, unlike many other shrubs that have perfect (complete) flowers.

Thank you for the response to my berry drop inquiry.

Polination cannot be the problem since berries do form. A male plant is located within ten feet of three females which do produce berries.
