I have just spoken to a person who is going to send me afew (4) seeds of Holarrhena febrifuga, which she also calls a Jasmine tree. I hope to germinate them and raise them but I have very little information. Can you help me?

    Dichroa febrifuga?

I wonder if this could possibly be Dichroa febrifuga? Dichroa is related to Hydrangea and comes from China. In the Pacific North West,Dichroa grows well in shade to about 2 feet, producing blue to pink flowers dependingon the acidity of the soil. The berries, which form in fall and persist in winter are an intense inky blue...really dramatic. It is hardy to zone 7-8 but needs a protected spot for winter.
