    Did you read these sentences? Once again, I'm seeing the funny side of things.

    Head gardener Sam Shipman said: “Since starting the build in 2023, it has rained almost every day, holding up our progress.
    “The irony of building a Mediterranean garden in one of the wettest autumns, winters and then springs on record has not been lost on any of us.”

    The irony of creating a Mediterranean garden in a (sometimes) rainy climate is a familiar challenge for all gardeners trying to plant sustainable gardens in changing conditions. Hit and miss. Trial and error. No solution fits all.
