Could you please suggest plantings to camouflage a 6ft X 100ft cement block retaining wall? The property is in Stowe, Vt and the soil has very poor drainage and is mostly shade.

Silver Lace Vine, Climbing Hydrangea, Virginia Creeper and Boston Ivy are vigourous deciduous vines which will take some shade. The first two have attractive white flowers and the second two have nice fall colour.
You don't say whether this wall forms the back or side of a larger garden or is in front of a building or beside a parking lot. How much space is available at the base of the wall for planting? 600 sq ft is a large area and might be a bit boring covered with just one type of plant. You could plant 3 - 5 vines, alternating 2 different types and then plant some kind of small vertical evergreen tree or shrub in between them to give some contrast in colour and texture and provide interest in the winter when the vines are bare.
