This looks like a hibiscus, but the leaves are very different from all the other hibiscus plants that i have. Any ideas? This plant just opened its first bloom today, I'm located in the lower mainland B.C. Should I do anything special with it during the winter, its in a perennial bed, so I'm sure its been in the ground for previous winters.
    thanks

Hibiscus coccineus type, maybe 'Lord Baltimore'.
