Hi, I'm new here and I've got a few questions to start off! Got two plants that I don't know the names of. The first one I'm thinking is a caperata but everything I've read about them says that they bloom. I got this plant from a family memeber over 3 years ago ( they don't know the species either ) and have never once seen it bloom. As for the other one, I've not a clue!!! Any imput would be great! thanks for your time!!!

Seconded for Begonia and Scefflera. I would venture to say the the Begonia is one of the B. coccinea cultivars, from the shape of its leaves. Which one will be impossible without seeing flowers.

Thanks for your help, but like i said, I've NEVER seen any flowers on the first plant!!! Not once, very weird. As for the second plant, I agree on it being a scefflera. Thank you so much for your help!

    B. coccinea is notorious for not blooming outside of the tropics, but since it is normally grown for its interesting leaves you aren't missing much, really. Mine bloomed recently, and I will say for it that I live in the tropics and even I wasn't expecting it.
