    Pyracantha (firethorn)

Not poisonous, but inedible raw (very bitter). You can make jam from them (with lots of sugar!)

    Hello suep,
Your pictures look like Cotoneaster, pyracantha I always thought the berries were poisonous, On this side of the world they are considered so. I have looked them up and found in Texas they are used in jellies. It seems though that the seeds are toxic and would need to be removed.

They are all Pyracantha. The 1st and 3rd look like respectively the yellow and red fruited forms of P. rogersiana, the 2nd could be P. coccinea. Differences are subtle, mainly leaf shape and toothing.

These pyracanthus don't have thorns. Mine are full of thorns and get me every time I pass by with the lawnmower

Some thorns visible in above photos. No question that's what they are, anyway.
