This rather spindly vine is in several places in my yard in Charleston, SC. I have never seen this flower in my life. The house was previously owned by a master gardener from New Zealand who had access to plants from one of the historical English plantation gardens here. I am trying to find out what plant this is and how to care for it. The flowers are the most beautiful I have seen. THe flower is white with a purple/chocolate pattern and a purple area near center.

    Thanks

Thanks for identifying it. I never thought of the fence as rustic, just old and past due for replacement. Maybe now I can take it off my to do list!
