It just started out as a phone call...I wanted to ask a question...and now I'm here!
I guess overall, I'll get more informed answers here than over a phone, am I right?
My question and search is over 'red broom'. I bought it quite as a last resort, about seven years ago,as the nursery I went to didn't have any 'peaches and cream' broom; there was a red one there, so I bought it. It grew so tall, the red (and yellow) colour, beside the Buddelia was gorgeous, and the perfume magnificent! We moved last Christmas, andd over the following months of cold, snow, unpacking/painting etc,I neglected to care for it properly. Now, a year later, I know it's dead, but I go out regularily to check anyway, just in case some life has shown itself.....
Can anyone help me find this common (uncommon) plant? My fingers are crossed!
    Thanks.

Hey Shelleylondonhauka, welcome to the Forums. You may have better luck with getting answers to questions here than by phone. Do humans ever still answer the phone anymore? I always get a machine.

In regard to your quest, is this the broom you are looking for? If that is it and you can't find it by the latin name, you may want to post in the soucing plants forum.(Introductions are only visible to members)

Some brooms have wonderful fragrance. Did yours?

Eric, Thank you for getting back to me so fast! I've been asking around about this Scotch Broom (yes, this is it in the picture!), for ages. People just answer' haven't seen that in years,' or 'it's not so popular', or 'why don't you call back in a couple of weeks'.
Yes, it had a magnificent perfume!!!! And I would love to find and enjoy it again~ any suggestions?
ps. what is the soucing plants forum?
