HI, could anyone please help me identify this plant?
I would thank you so much.
If I am correct, Dark Red almost purple alternate leaves, similar color inflorescence. Resembles a Celosia to me, but with red dark folliage.

    Thanks
    :)

    Thank you for answering
I agree it resembles an amaranthus in folliage, but the inflorescense grows erect and the leaves are a bit more elongated than the amaranthus. I am not sure
    Thankyou I appreciate your help!

What about a variant of Celosia argentea?

on second look and with the comments from saltcedar and susan in mind, it could be a celosia. there are quite a few varieties of amaranth, though, so, could still be one of them. and more likely to be amaranth when you consider your location. it's pretty, regardless of what it is - would look nice in my gardens here
