Hi! I am a newbie on this site and a novice mushroom hunter. I harvest a variety of wild mushrooms and just came across this one. All my research and field book "Audubon Society guide to North American wild mushrooms" leads me to believe this is a Hericium species, most likely the bears head tooth mushroom. Has anyone else come across this particular mushroom and can help me positively ID it?

    Thanks!
