Here are a few northern wisconsin plants!

Okay, here are some plants of the northwoods of WI. I tried wracking the brains of "professionals" here but no one seems to know their plants well (that are here anyways).

The last one looks like a bergamot but it does not have the stipules. Also the 3rd to last one looks like a possible goldenrod but I'm not too sure on that. The fifth one looks like a mint (square stem and opposite leaves), though its leaves give off no scent when crushed.

Any help?

#2 looks like a mulberry

 

#4 probably an Asteraceae, maybe Pyrrhopappus, but a flower would help a lot.

 

7. Echinops sp.

 

6. looks like Pedicularis sp.

 

thanks that helps a lot! the first one may be a smilax?

BTW # 9 was near the water - in with lycopodium and sweetfern. It feels like it may be an evergreen...

 

I am very interested in what #9 is. Does anyone have any ideas?

3. Try Veronica. Nor sure which ones you have growing wild.
Possibly Veronica officinalis, common speedwell.

These plants really are difficult! but thanks for the answers so far everyone!

 

Does anyone legitimately not know what these are or should I take more pictures of them? Is there anything I can do to help?
