Herbaceous plant in mountains above Ajijic, Mexico

    Photographed in September. A common plant along trails, so appears to be a bit of a weed - but very interesting flower nevertheless! Height commonly 30 cm to maximum of 50 cm. Seen flowering in rainy as well as very dry seasons.

    The closeup photo shows a truer color...
