Hep with My Ficus Alii

I have began to notice that there are all these white spots forming on the leafs of the plants. Not sure what they are or what I'm doing wrong. Please help me.

 

I'm not realy sure, but do you mist your plant?
If you do what kind of water are you using?
Sometimes that occurs if you use tap water to mist your plant. Also it would be a good idea to whipe your lefaes from dust once a month, if not maybe your plant is not getting enough light.

You seem to have some kind of scale problem all over the branches, but the picture is otherwise so large (can you shrink it?) that the foliage is hard to see.

 

I do mist the plant, and I do use tap water. Is it the clohrine in the water that is causing this?

 

The spots may be mineral deposits left behind from the misting. This is possible if the tap water in your area is "hard".

 

is it dangerous for the plant though?

 

Not that I know of but I'd remove it anyway just because it looks unsightly.

 

The spots on the leaves is just from the water and the spots of the stems on the Ficus are just the trees lenticils.
