I recently took a cutting from a friends house plant (She lives in B.C. Canada) she has no idea where she got the plant, it is over 15 years old and has done quite well in thier homes sunny east facing window sill. It's a very good climber sending small tendrils into the tiniest of cracks (similar to how English Ivy does). Cuttings take root quickly with nodes at each joint growing what appear to be short brownish roots into thin air as if looking for a place to take root. It is rather fast growing but is dormant for months on end with growth comming in short month long spurts every few months. The flowers are in small clusters hanging from thier own stalks, they smell nice, when the doors are closed the room smells sweet, similar to honey suckle or orange blossoms. Drops of necter build up on each flower and taste sweet and sugary (yes, I tried it :). The leaves are thick, shiney, and mostly green with small splashes of yellowish/pale spots.

Any idea as to what species this is and where it maybe native to?

    Thanks!
    Scott
