Hey folks. Looking to identify a plant in my newly acquired home. It sits right near the front deck and I'm wondering if it's going to be a problem and if I should just remove it, but I don't know anything about its root structure or if it has any harmful characteristics. The crown of the tree is growing rapidly and overhanging the deck so I'm thinking I should take some sort of action. Here's pictures of the leaves, some buds that have recently appeared on the tree, and the trunk. It's currently standing at about 9' tall. Thanks for your help.

Crabapple. Not the best shaped specimen, but no harm in keeping it. The fruit (pic #5; ripe in Sept-Oct) are good for birds, and can also be used to make jam/jelly.
