This plant was given to me. I thought it was a "Ponytail Palm",this plant has a 3ft. long stem from the center where the bloom is shooting up, and the base look more "onion-like". The flower looks nothing like the Ponytail's flower cluster. It has small round "offshoots" that grow on the base and fall or get knocked off.
Now after a couple of years of thinking I knew what it was, I am STUMPED. Been looking online.....as well..
    Thanks for any info!

Ornithogalum longibracteatum aka Pregnant onion. Your lucky, I've had them of and on for years and never had one bloom. A place on the "onion bulb" will swell up, grow and one day an little new onion will pop out and fall to the soil. (Aka the name Pregnant Onion) It will grow roots and start a new plant. They are kind of neat and different. I like to grow house plants that are different. I figure anyone can grow a Philodendron. I like it when people say " Heavens, What is that!"
