Help With Sword Ferns

    Can Anyone Tell Me , My Ferns Have Alot of Dryed Out Leave's, Due To Exsessive Heat This Summer Here In California. I Have Mister's On Them. But My Question is can I cut Back The Dryed-out one's So New Growth Will Start Or just Leave Them Alone I Have Some new Grwoth Around Outter Edge of the Root mass But Almost dead in the Middle. Please Help.

    I would trim the dead, especially with misters on them. Are they getting too much sun? If you have misters on them I wouldn't think there would be drying out. Know what type of ferns you are dealing with?
