Hi there, I am hoping to get some help identify the holly in my front yard. From my investigations it is either an American or English Holly. The tree is almost as large as the second story (up down duplex) and is aprox 12 feet across at the base. I do know it is female as it has great bunches of bright red berries, but I haven't found the male in our neighbourhood.

I am in Powell River (upper Sunshine Coast) and I am interested in growing a cutting from this tree if it will survive in Sicamous (Shuswap lake area) As far as I can tell Powell River is a Zone 8 and Sicamous is Zone 6a. If anyone knows if this Holly will survive in zone 6a that would also be a great help.
