I just bought a tropical palm plant from walmart two days ago and the whole thing is turning brown from the tips of the leaves back towards the stalk. Even a new stem that is spreading open is turning brown. The plant did get knocked over and I watered it last night because the soil was so dry. I have not even potted it yet. Help! It does not look good. Sounds like it's too far gone for resuscitation. But what kind of a plant is it? Is there a label? Can you provide pictures? The best bet is to take it back to Walmart and demand an exchange or refund.
