I had attempted to post this in the cactus an succulents forum but I was unable to. So here I am. Back in I believe December, or sometime earlier this year, my nephew knocked my golden ball cactus off of the windowsill. Most of the soil was able to be put back in and I moved it to a safer place so it wouldn't happen again. At the time, it was growing an offshoot. However, when it was knocked down, it hit something - either the side of the pot or the windowsill or something. So it got a dent, kind of, in the side. The spines there got fuzzy around the bottom, and while the cactus is surving it hasn't grown nor has the dent disappeared. It's green and seems healthy, but I was wondering if there was some way to fix the dent? Just concerned about it. Hope there's something I can do.
No, the damage cannot be reversed. As the plant grows bigger, the dent will gradually become almost invisible.
