    Hi all,

We have been growing a Jerusalem Artichoke and it was up to around 7' 8" but unfortunately one strong gust of wind and it has been snapped down to about 8", does anyone think it will recover and that we will still get any tubers off it or should we just pull it up!!

    Many thanks in advance

    Worried in Dublin

We grew that once or twice when I was a kid, but I don't remember much about how they grow--more or less like a sunflower, no? I would certainly let it try to regrow to see what happens. It may just send up some new stems. I would imagine there are already some small tubers. If it does not regrow with any vigor in a few weeks, you can always pull them out then, but I would dig around to see if there's anything worth harvesting.
