Hi, I'm having trouble identifying this plant. Would anyone know what it is? I've been given it as a rescue attempt as it seems to be unhappy. I've repotted it with porous soil, but am unsure how to care for it.

    Thanks for any help.

    Possibly Podocarpus macrophyllus, Buddhist Pine.

Not Podocarpus macrophyllus, nor I think any other Podocarpus, the leaves are too slender and the wrong character. Sorry, I don't know what it is, though.

I'm still having no luck with this, so I thought I'd post some more detailed pics. The light green with brown spots is what the new growth looks like. The dark green is the mature growth. The third picture is a side view of new leaves. These leaves are very soft and appear two at a time on opposite sides of the branch. They also seem to shift 90 degrees between pairs. Newer branches are a darker brown that fades to a lighter grey-brown at the trunk. Thanks for any help you can offer with this.

Thanks! I'll check it out and post back if they know.
