Medusa head is a frequently used common name. And it is sometimes mis-labled as E. flanaganii because the two species are quite similar.
It is my understanding that with this group of Euphorbias do not grow true from vegetative cuttings. That said, you might enjoy having a new plant anyway. Cut off one of the "arms", let the cut tip dry for a week or more (form a callous), and then insert the cut end in cactus soil (a fast draining mix). If you have root-tone (a rooting hormone), dip the cutting in that before inserting it in the soil; the roots will form more quickly. Water infrequently - once a week in a semi-humid clime. Good Luck!
how did it go? My understanding is that with Euphorbia cuttings, you need to rinse them in cold water when you cut them, until the latex stops running. Otherwise the latex hardens over and prevents rooting. Joe
I have not heard this - and had worked with Herman Schwartz's collection for a bit. Perhaps try it both ways and see if it produces different results.
