I have three of these plants that were given to me and I don't have any idea what they are or how to care for them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The breeze makes it difficult to get a crisp image. These are plants that have been outside for several years in the plastic landscapers containers. They are in fairly bad condition, but I hope to save them if possible. On closer examination, I think the red growth is new leaves forming. At first, I thought they were flowers, but they appear to be small leaves.
A close up of the leaves , buds, flowers would really help. Difficult to make any id. from the posted pics.
Hard to tell from photos. Maybe Loropetalum chinense?: http://www.floridata.com/ref/L/images/loro_ch_red2.jpg
Thank you so much. You are correct. I found one small flower that looks exactly like the photo. Now I have to find how to plant and care for them. Again, thank you.
