help with id

    Hello Everyone!

    My dad sent me these pictures of a plant growing in my Grandmother's yard, but I can't figure out what it is. The flower looks like something from the apple family, but the leaves and size are throwing me off.

    Any ideas?

    Its an anemone of some sort. in the same family as buttercup the Ranunculaceae

    Anemone canadensis, I think.
