    I'm not sure on the first two, but the third (tree with peeling bark) reminds me extremely strongly of Psidium guajava. It didn't happen to have fruits or flowers, did it?

    1. reminds me of Galphimia (Malpighiaceae)

    2. Lopezia sp. (Onagraceae)

    3. Arbutus sp., maybe A. xalapensis or A. glandulosa

    I know the guayaba trees since I was a kid, we made sling shots with such a strong wood. Also the leaves are a bit different, thank you anyway.

    I also thought Galphimia then decided (based on buds, petal shape and seed heads) that
    Bidens was probably more likely.

    Brilliant, thank you, yes is more likely Bidens.
