I live in the Skagit Valley area of Washington State. This area is known for growing Tulips and lesser known for growing potatoes. The Grape growers are moving in and Wineries are poping up all over. Unfortunately, due to government cuts the WSU Extension office has lost its funding for the grape program. We are begining to get questions at our local Master Gardener clinics on grapes - mainly diseases. My question is: Is there a "Grapes for Dummies" type book available for us to use as a guide for growing as well as related diseases? I've gone thru the WSU publications/bullitens, but we are not exactly UC Davis on this subject. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. barb
Hi Barb. This is a very good resource book written by a friend of mine. One of the best grape books out there. http://www.amazon.ca/Grape-Grower-Guide-Organic-Viticulture/dp/1890132829 Lots of useful information. This is also a great resource site as well. http://berrygrape.org/ Too bad about the program. Hope this helps Cheers
