Hi, I'm house sitting and the cactus have seemed to go soft and I think they are dying. I have give as much sun as possible but it is the middle of winter and not watered it as they said they did about a fortnight ago. Any help would be great. Thanks Toby
The one on the left has definitely died from root rot, and I suspect that the bigger one is dead too. It happens easily with these "lollipop cacti", especially in cold weather. They are not meant to last anyway, I have never seen an old one.
