1.I was given these two cacti.they bloom at night white flowers with a sweet fragrance. i think they are san pedro cacti.. i need help with identification please. 2.they have no roots and one of them has rotted..so i cut it and let it dry.is this black colour normal? What can i do for the other one so that it can root? thank you
I think it is a T. pachanoi, yes. I have no experience of this species, but of many other cacti, and they do not turn black when cut. It does not look promising. Put the other one in dry soil and wait for a couple of weeks. Then add a small amount of water and wait for a few weeks more. It is possible that it will not form much roots until spring anyway, it depends on light and temperature.
