This plant is growing in Surrey BC and we have no idea what it is.
We thought it was Solidago but now that it is blooming we have no idea! It is growing in a full sun area and it is a large mass of stems with slender jagged (toothy) leaf edges.
    Can anyone help?

I brought a bit back to NB with me in June, but mine has yet to produce flowers... it does have buds but the growth is slow and I think that the frost may get it first!

    Help! anyone! thanks ;-)

I think that the name of your plant is Physostegia virginiana whose common name is the obedient plant as you can move the flowers on the stalk and they will remain in that position. It is often found in Eastern North America, flowering from midsummer to early autumn. It is hardy to zone 4.
