Hi....can anyone help me identify this tree? It is in everett washington and i have never seen it here in bc. Thanks
I can't say for sure but this may be your tree or a close relative. It's Cupressus himalaica var. darjeelingensis and while the colour is slightly different (it's blue-green while your image shows more of a deep green) the look is similar. You can find other images of this tree at my website http://www.cfgphoto.com. Geoff Bryant
Hi thankyou for your reply but l looked the name up and its not the same. This tree has dredlock type branches that hang quite long. This tree is about 30 feet high. Amd the round dredlock type branches are about 2 feet in diameter.
Thankyou everyone!..........i looked up photos and it looks to me like a haiku sequoia. If you double click on my photo it should give a larger photo. Thanks again for your help! It is such a fabulous looking tree! Tc darlene
Lol....sorry, it is weeping not haiku.....i was looking up the photos of weeping sequoia's again and the photo of the haiku sequoia (which looks like my tree in question) was actually describing a poem but had the picture of the tree..lol tc
Thank you birdiebirk. I normally hate Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendulum', as the only ones that I have ever seen are weird. Some even growing at a 45 degree angle. Your pic shows a very very handsome big specimen. http://images.google.com/imgres?img...textMenu&rlz=1I7SUNA_en-GB&sa=N&start=18&um=1
