If I take a detailed photo of my Beni Kawa, can someone help advise me where to cut? It's so twiggy and looks a mess when the leaves are grown out. I figured it's best to cut during the winter and when all the leaves have fallen... Or if anyone knows of anyone in the LA area who specializes in this or could recommend someone? Thanks in advance.
I'll offer up my opinions and see if the more experienced folks on here agree. Generally I only prune for clearance issues or to improve structure (think brandford pear) so I bet I'm on the conservative end.
