This shrub is growing in an alley in Edmonton and I've never seen it before. This particular one is about 1.5 metres tall and wide. There is new growth coming up as shoots which seem fairly soft as opposed to hard bark I am wondering if it belongs to the dogwood family. Thank you. Alison S.
