help this poor tree

    cherry dmg 004.jpg i have what i believe is a dwarf weeping cherry tree, about 4yrs old now, did great until this last year, massive damage to trunk where it weeps any and all advice/ideas greatly welcomed, new to this site so be gentle

    If I had to guess, I'd say wintertime sunscald becoming evident now.
