    Hi,

I have adopted this plant, I have no idea what it is. The original owner didn't know either. It's leaves are turning yellow and falling off. It's in a self watering pot. It has some new growth but still seems to be losing too many leaves, it's not as lush as it was when I got it.

    thanks

I just found some info, is this a Madagascar Jewel? I'm pretty sure it is. I just need some help to make it healthy again.

ok, so now we know what it is, can someone tell me why it's leaves are turning yellow and falling off. I water it once a week from the bottom (it's in a self watering pot) am I watering it too often. It's in a west facing window.
    Thanks

It would probably benefit from being removed from the self-watering plant and put in a nice porous clay pot in some well-draining soil. Your watering schedule might be too a little too generous. Also, apparently it bleeds a nasty skin-irritating white goo when damaged, so I guess be REAL nice to it or it will fight back!

Thanks, we have spaced out the watering schedule and it has slowed down on how many leaves are turning yellow.* We have already experienced the skin irritating goo as well, it's not fun.* We wear gloves and long sleeves now, we will try changing pots but it's pretty big, I don't want to damage it.* Thanks to everyone for the help
