I was looking for some ascomycetes for a class project when I came across these. I havent found anything like them in any guide book. They are bluish, but definitely not the blue stain. They are quite small as you can see in the picture. I think you can click on it and see it enlarged. Under a dissecting scope they look slightly hairy. Spores are long oval/spindle shaped, clear, 7 - 8.75 micrometers by 2.25 - 2.75 micrometers, approximately. Any ideas?
A species of the difficult genus Mollisia (or some closely related genus). Cheers Harri Harmaja http://www.fmnh.helsinki.fi/users/harmaja/index.htm
