    Hello,

I recently purchased a home that had a nice looking grape vine in the backyard. It produced very tasty white grapes that we picked in early August. Now the leaves are turning yellow and many are already dead. Can anyone give a complete newbie some advice before I lose this vine? Or is this normal?

Also, there is an obvious disease of some sort which looks a lot like warts on the leaves (see photos)

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

It's normal for the vine to enter dormancy after the fruit is ripe. I can't comment whether this is early or on time or late for your area and variety.

The leaves are showing damage either from erineum mite or phylloxera, my guess would be erineum mite, characterized by a "hairy" back to the blisters.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have been told this is normal. As you can see I know very little about grape vines. I will do some reading about the mites and hopefully I can fix this problem before next summer.

    Thanks again!
