Novice gardener needs help with Princess plants. Left out over winter covered with transparent plastic (in North Vancouver, on Seymour River). Leaves dead. When pruned one of them a winter ago, it came back very slowly and never did flower. When and how should I prune? Any other info useful to beginner much appreciated. williamryan@shaw.ca
I am assuming that by princess plant you mean Tibouchina. I would have thought that they would not survive winters outdoors in our area at all, but read through this earlier thread for some discussion on the topic. Any wisdom from local Tibouchina growers?
