help please

    I ordered 2 red scarlet maple trees...the temp in my area right now is high 90s to 104 degrees...should I keep the trees in a container until next early sgring or can I plant the trees in such hot temps? please help thanks

    If the trees have been grown and are coming from a "cooler" place, then I
    would transition them slowly into direct 90-104F sun. You want to minimize
    leaf burn for appearance sake and trunk scorch. Depending upon their size
    you could start them in containers as you say and transition them into full
    sun etc and then plant them later in the summer.

    It is possible to plant container trees in summer so long as they are well watered once in the ground. Especially in your heat!

    I think Katsura's idea of transition is a good one if they're to go into full sun.

    need to save my tree

    I just recieved 2 bareroot red scarlet maple trees but it is too hot to plant them at this time...how and what kind of soil do I use to plant them in containers? pls help?

    so the tree were delivered today they are bareroot...can they be planted in this heat...if not how and what kind of soil do I use to plant them in a container?
